Hello there.
This board was created to discuss the Ontario Advisory Committee on Child and Youth Services.
In a discussion between Dolores A. Sicheri and John Dunn, it was decided that the name and acronym will be as follows:
The Ontario Advisory Committee on Child and Youth Services (OACCYS). The name refers to the fact that the subject matter of the Committee is focused on issues surrounding and involving the Ministry of Child and Youth Services, it's directives and policies etc.
A comment was made by Erika Klein where she stated that she would like to see the word "Family" included in it somehow since the Ministry has conveniently removed the word "Family" from their name over the past few years.
What can we do about this. I think it is important that we come to a final decision on this for the sake of uniformity.
Any comments?
